The GOP has a plan to stop Wendy Davis: blatant voter suppression.
Women don’t like having their bodies policed, and are supporting Davis like no Democrat has been backed before. But Republicans aren’t fighting back on the issues — they’ve pushed through a Voter ID law that blocks the votes of countless Texas women.
The only way the GOP can keep Texas is by rigging the game. Women have the power to turn this state blue for the first time in two decades, but we need to help secure their rights first. Please, join us in calling on the Texas legislature to get rid of this unconstitutional Voter ID lawand stop trying to strip women of their votes.
Tired of characters in horror films making stupid decisions, like entering that haunted house or gallivanting in the woods in the dead of night? What if they knew better? This video from pixelspersecond explores a world where people know exactly when to get the hell out of dodge.
I’ve been working on a game for a while called Dead Century. It’s sort of an Indiana-Jonesy adventure Puzzle/RPG concoction. I think it’s clear to everyone at this point that women, people of color, and queer people of all sorts are represented pretty poorly in modern video games. To that end, I’m making an effort to “be the change” I want to see. The biggest example being that the player can choose from three different appearances for each of their characters, each with a different gender and ethnic background. It’s mostly a cosmetic difference but it’s my little contribution to what I hope will soon become a larger thing in the video game world. Oh there are also some gay kisses and badass ladies.
Anyway, if that sounds like a good idea, you can check it out here or just retumbl, which is free!
Dear humans, please help Kickstart my friend’s queer inclusive (among many other things) video game! Be the change and show the world that there is a demand for games that are inclusive!
